History

A.K. is an accomplished designer and team leader utilizing conceptual problem solving, detailed design, and production implementation for manufacturers of new products. His design recommendations have contributed to many successful products now on the market for companies such as Tubbs Snowshoes, Voxtec International, Datron, Heath Consultants, Harris, Stanley, ConMed, DeLorme and many others.

A.K. gained valuable experience as a designer for fast-paced industrial design consulting firms such as, Loeffler- MacConkey, Michael Cattafe Assoc., S+H Diagnostics, and Helix. While at Helix, A.K. successfully transitioned into design management and has played a key role in developing client relationships, guiding teams, and developing successful products. His passion and drive have helped Helix to achieve multiple design awards in his 19 years with the company.

Currently, A.K. Is the Vice President of Product Development at Helix where he oversees the creative staff made up of industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and prototype specialists. In his current role, AK is responsible for all aspects of the design process from conceptualization to production procurement. AK enjoys working with team members of all levels and continues to mentor younger staff as well as developing strong client relationships.

When he is not hard at work, A.K. enjoys being outdoors with his family, often cycling or boating. He also has interest in tech gadgets and computers so don’t expect to see him far away from a power outlet for too long.
